This y ear's Cordillera Day was held in the upland municipality of Malbcong, Abra province. Over 5,000 delegates, inlcuding those from Metro Manila, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Germany and the United Staes of America attended the 2-day celebration themed Fight Destructive Mining and Intensified Militarization.. The 21st Cordillera Day celebrations opened in an ecumenical mass and cultural presentations. The closing ceremonies inlcuded a tribute to the Cordilliera martyrs and an array of cultural presentations from all delegates. |
