Cordillera Peoples Alliance 9th Congress

Teachers Camp, Baguio City
October 21-23, 2006

“Uphold the lessons of the struggle! Resolutely advance the peoples’ movement for Self-Determination and National Democracy amid the intensified fascist and terrorist attacks of the US- Arroyo Regime!”

Two hundred fifty (250) delegates, some observers representing chapters and member organizations from the six Cordillera provinces (Abra, Mountain Province, Benguet, Kalinga, Apayao, Ifugao), the City of Baguio, Manila, and the regional sectoral federations of peasants, workers, women, youth and students, elders, cultural workers and artists, overseas Filipino workers, and the regional human rights alliance attended the two-day Congress. Including all guests and observers, over 300 delegates gathered in the Congress.

To cap the activity, the Congress delegates joined the peasants of the region in a colorful march-rally on October 23 to commemorate the national Peasant Month
